Portuguese Coal Trains

Coal transportation was in high demand after Portugal ramped up its energy production using imported coal, typically from Australia and Colombia. Six years ago, on Dec 7th 2019 I photographed my last portuguese coal train, and this is the opportunity to share some more photos of the important traffic from Sines to Pego thermal station, a traffic that ran between 1992 and 2019.
